A Suome (french bise) is a water conduit for the irrigation of agricultural land. This is a very dry county, rain alone does not suffice. In the canton Valais, there are about 40,000 km (25,000 mi) of such conduits. They are maintained partly by soccage.

Forest with shadow and sunlit parts. A slight breeze is already too much.
