Caustics Generator

Caustics are light patterns that appear on the ground of a pool. The free version permits the setting of the water depth and the intensity of the caustics. Additionally, there are three filters: amplitude, frequency and time. Only square images up to 512 pixels can be generated.

The Light version permits image sizes up to 2040 pixels square and there is no limit for the Pro version; it can also output height-maps and normal-maps as well as saving HDRIs in the OpenEXR format.

The free version is available for Windows 32-bit, the download is 1.1 MB. The program can be installed in any folder of your choice and is ready in a few seconds.
