PTE Parametric Terrain Editor

Generates greyscale pictures from mathematical functions which can be imported into the terrain editor of Bryce. Featured are sine- fourier- and exponential functions and frequency modulation (FM). Parameters like frequency, offset and order can be adjusted. With the PTE you can create terrains that would be very difficult to do in the terrain editor itself.

The program runs under Windows from version 95 hence and is Freeware. There are 3.7 MB to download and the PDF documentation is almost 1 MB. The installation is fast and straightforward. A couple of files are written to the Windows system folder and a key is generated in the registry. The log file is obvious enough to properly un-install the program.
